Reaching Adolescents in Need (RAIN)

The RAIN Program is a short-term case management program for youth. RAIN specifically addresses the needs of youth who are under housed or homeless, disconnected from family, school, and employment and unable to effectively connect and negotiate service from other agencies.

Inclusionary Criteria:

  • Residents of Peel
  • Youth between their 14th and 18th birthday
  • Youth who are disconnected from family and in an unstable and unsafe living situation (i.e., residing in shelters, homeless, financial instability)
  • Youth who are disconnected from school and/or employment, and unable to effectively connect with and negotiate service from other agencies
  • Youth with mental health issues and several of the following behaviours: substance misuse, aggression, criminal/anti-social behaviour, sexual acting out, chronic isolation from family, negative peer relationships
