Extrajudicial Sanctions (EJS)
The EJS Program is a means to divert young persons charged, away from formal criminal proceedings and into a program of rehabilitation. The EJS Program is a community based intervention. The young person will be met for an initial intake to determine the most suitable program, taking into consideration the young person’s interests, skills, and abilities.
- Young persons between their 12th and 18th birthday at the time of the offence
- Young persons residing in Peel and Dufferin
