Extrajudicial Sanctions (EJS)

The EJS Program is a means to divert young persons charged, away from formal criminal proceedings and into a program of rehabilitation. The EJS Program is a community based intervention. The young person will be met for an initial intake to determine the most suitable program, taking into consideration the young person’s interests, skills, and abilities.

Inclusionary Criteria:

  • Young persons between their 12th and 18th birthday at the time of the offence
  • Young persons residing in Peel and Dufferin
